On the basis of research results, Tanja Grießmann, Jörg Rustemeier (former ISD) and Raimund Rolfes have developed and successfully patented a new method of damping underwater sound. The invention has for its object to improve the sound insulation. With the new method, the Rammschall, which poses a potential hazard for marine mammals, is particularly strongly reduced.
