Second Call for Applications: Hannover School for Nanotechnology

Hannover School for Nanotechnology (hsn) invites applications for

PHD FELLOWSHIPS

hsn is a coordinated PhD-programme of the Laboratory of Nano and Quantum Engineering from Leibniz Universität Hannover together with Hochschule Hannover. The disciplines involved in the programme are physics, chemistry, civil engineering, electrical engineering, and mechanical engineering with research concentrated on the use of nanotechnology to transform, transport and store energy.

hsn promotes students at different levels of education and introduces them to cutting-edge research projects performed by the partners involved. Entry to the programme is available to graduates with a master''s or diploma degree in nanotechnology or physics, chemistry, civil engineering, electrical engineering, and mechanical engineering. hsn also supports fast track careers for students with an excellent bachelor''s degree

For detailed information, please refer to the webpage (www.hsn.uni-hannover.de).

Students interested in hsn can apply up to May, 5th 2013. The application (including Application Form, Official Transcripts, Statement of Purpose, and CV) should be sent as PDFs via e-mail to: Schulze-Wischeler@LNQE.uni-hannover.de. See our website for details on the registration.

ISD invites applications for a scholarship regarding a project on "Virtual Development of Nanoparticle-Reinforced Composite Materials" that aims to develop multiscale simulation models for nanocomposites based on the Molecular Dynamic Finite Element Method (MDFEM) combining both atomistic and continuum modeling.
